 Namaste,

I Am Sahya Devi

Who Am I ?

A woman, daughter, yogini, explorer, engineer, teacher, guide.

I could define myself with many labels, but at the core level I am just another human being, just like you, who took birth on this planet and is going through this wonderful experience called “life”.

This ride has ups and downs, moments of happiness, moments of sadness and oftentimes we seem to be on the verge of falling from one to another, living in a rollercoaster of emotions that leads us to more confusion.

When I was younger, I felt I did not belong in many places. I struggled with my body, and with relationships. I suffered from depression, anxiety, and mood swings. I simply couldn't feel comfortable in my being.

Most of us go through the same predicaments and can't find a way to break free from this unhealthy pattern, feeling we’re all alone, hopeless, and believing there’s no way to change.

But let me tell you: You are not alone. And it’s not just you. It’s all of us. It has happened to all of us and it is possible to change.

  Waves of Change

For the last half a decade on this planet, I have explored this plane of reality through traveling, meeting beings from diverse cultures along the way, and going through deep physical, mental and spiritual transformational experiences, such as surfing, living in a car by myself for two years, meditating in silence for 10 days several times, and solo-traveling in India, to name a few.

As travelers, we hold on tight to our luggage, everything that represents who we are. These encounters and experiences allowed me to let go more and more of this weight - these conditionings that I was carrying that were only limiting my being - to be lighter and more open to the beautiful unfolding of life.

Over the years, I have delved deeper into the study of Yoga and other health-related sciences, such as meditation, sound healing, and kirtan (Bhakti Yoga), realizing through this process that I was becoming mentally and physically healthier, more balanced emotionally, and more spiritually aware.

I had awakened my awareness.

Through the practice of Yoga, I recognized my Dharma (duty/purpose) - guiding others through the path of self-realization.

What we believe we are is a product of many variables, within ourselves and from the environment. This combination has led us to believe we are just that: limited. In truth, we are more than that - we are all different manifestations of something greater, and therefore, we all have the potential to awaken our awareness and be who we truly are.

It has been my own awakening and the giving of my spiritual name that led me to create this space to offer myself as a mere guide in your path, as a torch that shines light in your self-exploration journey.

With the aid of yoga, kirtan, meditation, and other tools and techniques, we will embark on an inward journey that has no end and its destination is awakening your true nature.

If this resonates with you, it would be an honor and a pleasure to walk with you on this path.

Namaste

Hari Om Tat Sat
